Holl Pass
Your official student ID!
Holl Pass is the official Holland College student identification card that integrates several functions central to campus life. In addition to using Hollpass to for building access and library services, you can load funds onto your card and use it to pay for printing and photocopying, purchases at the campus store, as well as on-campus cafeterias and coffee shops. Your Holl Pass also gives you exclusive deals and discounts with our Holl Pass partners island-wide.
Please note: If your card is lost or stolen, you must deactivate it immediately to protect your funds.
Your Holl Pass Flex Account allows you to use your card like a debit card for printing and photocopying, food purchases at food service locations, and at our Samuel's Campus Store. It's a quick and convenient method of payment with no bank fees.
The following locations accept Holl Pass payments
To print you must be logged into a Holland College computer. Once you are logged in and press print, funds will be automatically taken off your Holl Pass. Checkout our resource list to find where you can print on each campus.
To photocopy on campus, tap your card on the reader located next to the photocopiers. Depending on the photocopier, you either press 1 then press enter, or you just press enter. Funds will be taken from your Holl Pass with every copy you make. Checkout our resource list to find where you can photocopy on each campus.
You can use your Hollpass like a libary card at any of our campus libraries or resource centres.
Gym membership for the McMillan Centre for Community Engagement (MCCE) is included in the tuition and fees for full-time students in programs on the Prince of Wales Campus and in the Tourism & Culinary Centre.
Before you can use your Holl Pass for photocopying, printing, or purchasing items, you will need to add funds to your Holl Pass Flex account. There are three ways to add funds:

Sign in using your SAM login as the Network ID and SAM password as the Network Password. (You should not be putting @hollandcollege.com at the end of your network ID). Once you are logged in, select "Add Money" from the left column and follow the instructions to take you through the process using either a credit or debit card. The minimum deposit is $10.

Holland College doors are locked in the evenings and on weekends. To gain access during these times, students, faculty, and staff use their Holl Passes to gain entry. Your Holl Pass is programmed to give you access to buildings on the campus or in the centre in which your program is located.
What to expect when tapping your Holl Pass on the doors' security system:
Green light & beep = access
No green light or beep = damaged card, please contact the Holl Pass office.
Yellow or green flashing light = your card is not programmed to access that building.

Who uses a Holl Pass?
All Holland College students, faculty, and staff should have a Holl Pass; it is your official College ID.
How do I get a Holl Pass?

How do I log onto the Holl Pass website?
Log in at any time in the Sign In section of this site. Enter your SAM username (without @hollandcollege.com) and password to login. You can check you Flex Plan balances, see your statements, add funds, add a PIN, or deactivate your Holl Pass to protect and funds if the card is lost or stolen.

How do I add money to my card?

How much money should I put on my card?
This will vary from student to student. One of the conveniences of your Holl Pass is being able to easily check your account balance online and add funds when needed.
Am I the only one who can add funds to my account?
Other people can also add funds to your account using the Parent login option on the website. You will need to provide them with your student ID number. They will not be able to see your current balance or your transaction history. (Please be advised that the Holl Pass site will only work on browser screens larger than 764 pixels, which is accommodated by larger tablets, laptops and computers.)
How do I know how much money is on my Holl Pass?

Requesting Refunds
To request a refund, you must log in to your SAM account, click Holl Pass request forms, then click the Student Holl Pass refund/transfer form.
Flex Refunds: All funds in your Holl Pass Flex account will automatically be transferred from one academic year to the next. All Flex refunds are available at any time (payable by cheque), and are subject to a $25 (tax included) administration fee, taken from the amount to be refunded. Refunds can take up to 3 weeks.
Tourism & Culinary Centre (TCC) Meal Plans: remaining funds are non-transferable and non-refundable.
What should I do if my Holl Pass is lost or stolen?
Deactivate your card immediately! This will prevent anyone else from using the card to purchase items or to gain unauthorized access to Holland College buildings.
You can deactivate your Holl Pass online, (select Account Tool and then select Suspend Card), or by email, phone or in person at the Holl Pass Office.
What should I do if my Holl Pass is damaged?
If your Holl Pass is damaged, you will need to replace it. To check if you Holl Pass is damaged, tap it on a card reader - if there's no beep or green light, the card is damaged and will need to be replaced.

If I lose or damage my Holl Pass, do I lose the funds I have in my accounts?
If you damage or deactivate your Holl Pass before someone had a chance to use your card, you won’t lose the funds you have on the card. To deactivate the card, sign in, select Account Tool and then select Suspend Card.
You are responsible for all transactions made before the card is deactivated. Once your Holl Pass is deactivated, log into SAM to get a replacement one. The funds on your Holl Pass will be transferred to your new Holl Pass.
