Holland College students, faculty, and staff have unlimited free access to LinkedIn Learning.
LinkedIn Learning is an award-winning educational platform that helps you discover and develop career, business, technology-related, and creative skills through expert-led course videos. You have access to a digital library of over 20,000 personalized, “bite-sized” video-based courses 24/7 so you can refine or develop your professional skills, learn new software, and explore other areas related to your career or interests. Up to 70 new courses are added weekly.
What type of content is available?
LinkedIn Learning gives you access to three libraries:
- Business: digital transformation, leadership and management, soft skills, project management training, HR training, customer service training, performance management training, online marketing training, professional development, career development, training and education, business software and tools, finance and accounting, sales, small business, and entrepreneurship.
- Technology: IT infrastructure training, cloud computing, data science, web development, software development, security, database management, IT help desk, mobile development, network and system administration, and internet of things.
- Creative: online graphic design training, online AEC training, CAD, web design, user experience, 3D and animation, art and illustration, video, motion graphics and VFX, photography, audio and music.

Click on the activate my account button (or open the following link in your browser https://lnkd.in/ggFQNhQ to activate your LinkedIn Learning account.
When prompted, enter your Holland College student or staff credentials to login.

You will be prompted to choose between two options: to connect your personal LinkedIn account (if you have one) or continue without connecting your LinkedIn.com account to create a LinkedIn Learning account.
- If you do not have a LinkedIn account, click 'Continue without LinkedIn'.
- If you have a LinkedIn account and wish to connect it, click 'Connect my LinkedIn Account' and you will be promoted to use your LinkedIn.com login to connect the two accounts.
- If you do not have a LinkedIn account but wish to create one, click 'Connect my LinkedIn Account' and follow the prompts on the screen to create your LinkedIn account.

On the Welcome to LinkedIn Learning page, select Sounds good.

Get started by choosing the course category you are most interested in.

Select at least one skill you want to learn. As you select skill categories, similar skills will populate that you may also be interested in. You will be able to add additional skills in the settings section.

Set a weekly learning goal if you want reminders to continue learning each week or skip to the prompt – you can set a weekly goal later if you wish.

What data from my LinkedIn profile will be shared with Holland College?
Holland College will see your photo, name, email address, title, and company name. This data connection will be used to create your profile in LinkedIn Learning so you can easily access LinkedIn Learning from your LinkedIn account. You can take your learning history with you regardless of where you go after Holland College. LinkedIn will never share any other personally identifiable activity from your personal LinkedIn account with Holland College.
Will Holland College be able to see which courses I have completed on LinkedIn Learning?
Yes, Holland College’s LinkedIn Learning admin can see which courses you have completed on LinkedIn Learning. This is so Holland College can track how students and staff are using the tool, what courses are generating interest and how best to continue promoting the resource.

Can I customize which data from LinkedIn profile is shared with LinkedIn Learning?
You can’t choose which data to share from your LinkedIn profile, but rest assured that no human will ever see individual-level data.
Will my LinkedIn Learning activity be visible to my LinkedIn network?
No, your network will not see your LinkedIn Learning activity. If you wish, you can choose to share the courses you’ve taken on LinkedIn, just like any other social network. Learn freely knowing that your learning activity will never be shared publicly unless you choose to do so
How is my data kept secure?

How do I log back into LinkedIn Learning after activating my account
- If you did not connect your LinkedIn profile, you can simply return to the following link to log back into LinkedIn Learning using your Holland College email. https://www.linkedin.com/learning-login/
- If you connected your LinkedIn profile, you will be able to log into LinkedIn Learning in multiple ways: Through your LinkedIn.com account or using the above link.
- You can also download the LinkedIn Learning mobile app after you have activated your account to access learning anywhere you go.
Can I connect my LinkedIn profile to my LinkedIn Learning account?

Is there a mobile app?
Yes. In the app/play store on your device, find the ‘LinkedIn Learning’ app for download. Once downloaded, you will login with your same desktop credentials and your learning will automatically go with you wherever you go. Using the mobile option is a bit different and has the option to turn the courses to "audio only" via a toggle within each course.
