Your First Day

We will be meeting in the program area (201E) in the Charlottetown Centre for orientation on Sept. 8th. In order for the process to run smoothly, please ensure you have registered for all courses, have activated your college email (and have used it) and have accessed the SAM portal located on the Holland College main page (top right, under the 'Log in' tab). Please review SAM Student Orientation before you arrive.

A Message from the Program


Welcome to Journalism and Communications! We are excited to have you on board and look forward to meeting you this fall. Program orientation will run Sept. 8-10, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Please register for all courses and activate your Holland College email, which will be our primary contact with you. We will be emailing you the program orientation schedule in late August. You can visit the bookstore at the Charlottetown Centre any time between now and orientation to buy the following two textbooks: Canadian Press Stylebook and Canadian Press Caps and Spelling. Please email an instructor if you’d like to book a time to come see the program area and meet us before orientation begins.
