Program Key Dates:

  • Culinary Internship takes place etween 1st and 2nd year starting at the beginning of May to end of September.

Required Books

All required texts are provided and included in tuition fees

Required Materials & Tools

The only piece of the uniform you are responsible for purchasing before the beginning of the school year is a pair of black, steel-toe, non-slip shoes which have the heel enclosed.
 
You will receive three pairs of checkered pants and three chef jackets personalized with your name and the CIC logo. Other parts of the uniform, such as aprons, hats, and side towels, will be issued to you. Chef jackets will be laundered by the CIC. You will be responsible for laundering the pants.
 
You will receive a knife kit, which will include the essential tools for your learning.

A Message from the Program


Welcome to Culinary Arts Welcome to the Culinary Arts program at The Culinary Institute of Canada! We look forward to supporting you as you embark on your culinary journey. Classes begin on September 8. Your Culinary Arts orientation will take place in the morning, downstairs in The Marché. After that, you will tour the Tourism and Culinary Centre, receive your textbooks and knife kits, be assigned a locker, and have a uniform fitting for your chef whites. You will also receive your program schedule, which will tell you which group you are placed in and what your specific course schedule will be for the frontload schedule of September and the kitchen rotations which begin in October. We are here to support and guide you through this process, so please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
