Required Books

We will give you information regarding required course material (textbooks) on the first day of classes. All course materials will be available for purchase at Samuels Bookstore. (on-site)

Required Materials & Tools

We will give you information regarding required course tools and PPE on the first day of classes.

We highly suggest not purchasing tools prior to the start of classes. We will provide tool demos, as well as supplier contacts that will offer student discounts.

Required Technology

It is highly recommended that you purchase the CASIO FX-260 calculator, (can be found at the Waterfront Campus bookstore, Staples, Walmart, etc.). This is the only calculator that is permitted for use on apprenticeship exams, so we highly encourage students to purchase one to become comfortable with its functionality.

Welcome to Construction Electrical class of 2026! The construction electrical field is an exciting and dynamic career choice that we hope all of you will find fulfilling over your occupational lifetime. The electrical field is an excellent example of lifelong learning as new technologies are constantly being introduced and implemented. Keeping abreast of these changes over your career makes a job in the electrical field fresh, exciting and sometimes challenging.
