  • Texas Instruments BAII Plus Professional Calculator is included in the Math textbook bundle, but if you already have this calculator, you can purchase e-book on its own - purchased through the Holland College Bookstore.

Required Technology

To complete coursework, students need access to a computer/laptop with Windows OS.
 
MAC users will need virtual machine software, potentially requiring a computer technician.
 
Chromebooks are not compatible with the required software.

Program-Specific Information

Travel
  • When making travel arrangements, ensure to avoid travel during class dates to prevent missing valuable class time, quizzes, and exams.
Dress Code
  • The dress code is business casual. Occasionally, you will need to wear professional business attire, so ensure you have this in your wardrobe.
Program Workload Considerations
  • On average, expect three hours of class time per week per course.
  • Successful students typically spend an additional two hours on outside class activities for every hour in class.
  • For five courses in a semester, expect a 40-50 hours course load per week.

Welcome, and congratulations on taking this exciting first step toward your future in business. The Business Administration program is a two-year program designed to give you the skills and confidence to succeed in any business environment. From Financial Accounting and Marketing to Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behaviour, and Operations Management, every course you take builds a solid foundation for the real world. You will finish your studies with Work Integrated Learning, putting everything you have learned into practice. We are so glad you chose Holland College, and we cannot wait to get started with you.
