The team at the Business Analytics Centre recently completed a research project for the City of Charlottetown. The city provided the team with several years of water quality data from localponds, which they consolidated into a centralized database and developed an automated, interactive dashboard.
The dashboard will enable the city to easily review, compare, and visualize variations in multiple water quality parameters and observe the overall water quality index across different ponds and over time.
Research Associate, Junaid Maqsood, and Research Assistant, Nagma. Nagma customized the database and dashboard to meet the needs of the city and enable efficient data collection and analysis going forward.
Water Coordinator of the City of Charlottetown, Alistair Ozon, encourages more organizations to connect with the Business Analytics Centre for research support.
“The work done by the Holland College Business Analytics team went beyond my expectations," says Ozon.
"Junaid and Nagma were both very easy to work with, professional and enthusiastic about making a product that meets our needs. The results were a user-friendly platform that can easily be used by all our partnering organizations and will help us to streamline record-keeping and data analysis processes in the future. I would recommend reaching out if you’re looking for a practical and innovative solution to working with your data or improving your work processes."
