Job Description

ANCHOR Fest is run by Anchor Motion Picture Alliance (AMPA), a newly founded not-for-profit organization. In addition to promoting and executing the festival, AMPA is a representative and advocacy body for producers and professionals working in film, television and digital media on Prince Edward Island, and is a unified voice for such producers and professionals in industry and policy discussions.

AMPA is looking for a Summer Creative Intern to support our busy slate of initiatives. This is a hands-on role for someone with a genuine interest in scripts, story, and how shows and movies get made and screened at festivals. You'll get exposure to how projects move from idea to pitch to production, working directly with our team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Script & screening coverage on submissions.
  • General support for the development and production team
  • Industry conference support and outreach.
  • Help track project deliverables and internal submissions
  • Research on talent, and market trends for pitch materials
  • Admin support as needed (scheduling, correspondence)


Qualifications

Essential:

  • Currently enrolled and returning to school in the Fall.
  • Must be between the ages of 15-29.
  • Genuine interest in scripted film and tv development and production.
  • Strong organizational skills, comfortable multitasking
  • Clear, concise writing (ie script coverage)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and email

Preferred:
  • Familiarity with the Global and Canadian film and television landscape
  • Proficient in graphic design for pitch and marketing materials.
  • A short film, web series, or personal creative project you've made or contributed to
