Kevin O’Brien
Business Information Technology, 1992
Kevin O’Brien is a 1992 graduate of the Business Information Technology program. In 1994, starting with only $2,100, Kevin established ISN, and for 15 years served as President. In 2002, Atlantic Business Magazine featured Kevin as one of Atlantic Canada’s 50 Top CEOs. Kevin also received a Status of Women equality award for promoting gender equality and fairness in the workplace.
During the fifteen years ISN existed, it outlasted more than a dozen other fledgling ISPs and was recently purchased by Eastlink. Kevin’s latest business venture is an organic landscaping business, Oredco Organics, which has a light construction wing known as Oredco Equipment.
Kevin received a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2008.
