Study Permits

All International Students require a study permit to be eligible to attend school in Canada.

To start your application with the Canadian Government, you will need an offer of admission from Holland College. We process most of our acceptances in Spring each year, so it may be March or April before you receive an acceptance letter and can begin the application process for your study permit.

What should I do if I receive an acceptance?

1. Apply for your Study Permit

If you have been selected for admission to Holland College, your next step is to apply for your study permit online. To do this, visit the  Citizenship and Immigration Canada website

Holland College’s Designated Learning Institution Number is O19220082122.

2. Once you receive your study permit

You must upload a copy of your study permit approval and a copy of your study permit to your Holland College Dashboard when you receive it.

You will not be eligible to attend school or complete our course registration until we have your documents

Can I work when I'm in school?

Under the terms of your study permit, you will be allowed to work 24 hours per week while you are in school, and you can work full-time during extended breaks such as the Christmas break, over the summer, and spring break. Visit the IRCC website to learn more about working off campus.
