Self-Study
Training Packages

Transport Canada Ship Safety Bulletin 09/2017 allows seafarers working in the engine department to challenge exams to obtain their 4th Class Engineer Certificate of Competency.

Our Engineering Department offers self-study packages to help candidates who would like to challenge the Transport Canada exams. Students who are using our self-study packages will have access to an instructor for their questions. The time and the duration of the student-instructor sessions will be planned by the instructor.

Once the student has completed each study package and feels ready to challenge the exam, they can contact their local Transport Canada office to schedule an exam.
