The Test Report Form (TRF) tells you your IELTS score and will be available 13 days after you have taken your test or 3-5 days if you have taken IELTS on a computer. You can have it posted to you, collect it in person or see it online (it’s available for 28 days after publication).
Hard copies of the Test Report Form are posted to the mailing address provided on the application form through Canada Post regular mail. If you prefer to have your results delivered by courier, please send an email.
Details regarding in-person Test Report Form pick up will be emailed to test takers on the result release date.
Additional test report forms can be requested by completing a request form. Candidates may request up to five additional TRFs. Submissions must be using the form and include a copy of the ID used on test day.

The test gives you a score for each section (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) – the average of these gives you your overall band score.
Your IELTS score will usually be valid for two years, but you should check the rules of the organization you’re applying to. We can send your Test Report Form directly to an organization you’re applying to. When you register for your test, you can nominate up to five organizations to be sent your IELTS Test Report Form directly. If you would like us to do this, please add these addresses on the Test Taker Portal within two years of taking your test.
If you believe your test has been scored incorrectly, you can apply for it be marked again. There’s a charge for doing this, but it’s refunded if your score is increased for any section of the test.
Scores are valid for 2 years. Paper based IELTS test results are available 13 days after the test date. Computer delivered IELTS test results are available 3 - 5 days after the test date.
IELTS at Holland College guarantees that all our staff meet the global IELTS training standards and adhere to all necessary marking standards. If you disagree with the mark you receive, we have a formal process for the appeal of results. It is called an Enquiry on Results.
This inquiry must be made within 5 weeks of your test date and will take 2-21 days to be returned. The time depends on several factors including the number of sections requested to be remarked. If the test results improve, a partial refund less an administrative fee will be issued, however you will be required to return your previously issued Test Report Form (TRF) prior to a new one being issued.
