Human Resources Project Coordinator - Inclusive Onboarding Initiative

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Human Resources Project Coordinator will lead the development and implementation of Inclusive Onboarding Guidelines that promote equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, anti-racism, cultural safety, and reconciliation in workplace onboarding practices. Working collaboratively with internal and external partners, the coordinator will support research, stakeholder engagement, resource development, pilot testing, and implementation to help create more welcoming and inclusive workplaces across Prince Edward Island.

  • Coordinate all phases of the Inclusive Onboarding Guidelines project from research through implementation.
  • Develop and monitor project work plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and progress reports.
  • Track project budgets and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project partners, consultants, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct environmental scans, literature reviews, and research related to inclusive onboarding, equity, accessibility, anti-racism, and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate focus groups, consultations, and stakeholder engagement activities, and collect, analyze, and summarize qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Identify barriers and opportunities within existing onboarding practices and recommend improvements.
  • Lead the development of inclusive onboarding guidelines, implementation tools, templates, and supporting resources.
  • Integrate Equity, Diversity, Inclusion (EDI), Accessibility, Cultural Safety, Psychological Safety, and Reconciliation principles throughout project resources and deliverables.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with employers, community organizations, Indigenous partners, educational institutions, government partners, and equity-deserving groups.
  • Coordinate pilot testing activities and evaluate project outcomes through surveys, interviews, and other feedback mechanisms.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, implementation plans, and communication materials to support the publication, adoption, and promotion of inclusive onboarding practices across Prince Edward Island workplaces.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, Adult Education, Social Sciences, Equity Studies, or a related field.
  • Experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Project Management, or Change Management.
  • Lived experience in an equity deserving group and as a newcomer.
  • Experience facilitating consultations, focus groups, and stakeholder engagement processes.
  • Experience developing workplace policies, frameworks, training, or employee resources is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of employment practices, onboarding, and workplace culture.
  • Knowledge of equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, anti-racism, and reconciliation principles.
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with diverse communities and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data collection tools.
