Employment Opportunity: Holland College Early Learning Centre (L4491)

The Early Learning Centre is seeking a certified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team.  We strive to offer a high-quality childcare and education program for children up to five years old. In family groupings and with the support of qualified ECE’s, children learn through exploration and reflection within their environment.

As part of our team, you are responsible to:

• Offer a play-based, emergent curriculum
• Create, adapt, and maintain an environment that protects the health and safety of children and adults
• Observe, record, and document children’s work
• Foster social interactions and child development
• Build relationships with children, parents, and co-workers
• Mentor adult students in the Early Childhood Education and Care program at Holland College
• Other duties as assigned

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education.

• Early Childhood Educator III certification is preferred. Candidates who do not currently hold Level III certification must be willing to commit to obtaining it.

• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that supports children's learning and development.

• Strong organizational skills, patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
