Certificate in Adult Education

Does your career involve teaching, training, or designing programs for adult learners? Holland College and the University of Prince Edward Island jointly offer this program, which prepares you with the skills and strategies you need to be effective in the classroom.

This program is right for you if:

• You are a community college or other post-secondary instructor
• You plan to teach, and have a vocational, occupation, or technological background or related work and educational experience
• You are a human resource professional who teaches or designs program and activities in business, government, community or volunteer agencies, or other adult groups

The program is delivered on a part-time basis and consists of nine courses.

Upon completion of this two-year program, you will be ready to design curriculum, create an engaging classroom environment, and effectively teach adult learners.

Admission Requirements

A combination of five years of related work and education in a specialized vocational, occupational, or technological area. Please note, you must contact the administrator before applying to this program.
