Residence offers everything you need to make your Holland College experience the best that it can be.
If the idea of rolling out of bed and into class appeals to you, you can’t get much closer than living in one of our residences. You are steps away from the Tourism and Culinary Centre, downtown Charlottetown, transportation, restaurants and shopping.
Avoid the hassles of renting. Don’t worry about having to pay for your own electricity, cable and Internet in addition to your rent. In residence, that’s all included. You only pay for your room from September to April, rather than committing to a 12-month lease. Experienced maintenance staff are on site, and provide bi-weekly housekeeping services for the common areas in your residence suite, such as the kitchen and bathroom.
Living on campus gives you the benefits of being out on your own, but with a safety net. We have residence life advisors, front desk representatives, and residence management who are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to address your concerns or answer your questions. Campus security is always on the job to ensure a safe environment.
Studies have shown that students who live in residence have a higher graduation rate due to the support that is available to them on campus. Our residences feature study lounges for group or individual studying.
In residence, you are part of a community right from Day One. You’ll meet lots of new people, and some of the friendships that you form will last you a lifetime. It’s one of the best things about living in residence!
You will never get tired of the food options on here on campus! Located just a minutes walk from our residence buildings, Chartwells offers a large variety of hot meal selections, grab-and-go options, fresh baked goods, grocery take-home items and fresh fruit and vegetables. You can load your Holl Pass card with funds to pay for items, or select a meal plan option.
Living in a residence makes it easier to participate in groups and clubs. You’ll make stronger personal connections, and participating in campus activities will help you grow both academically and personally by introducing you to other cultures and ideas.
In addition to your apartment-style suite, which includes a kitchenette, you will have access to several lounges with gaming tables, and there is a study lounge located on the top floor of each building. Whether you are looking to socialize, relax, or study, there is something for everyone!
Throughout the year, our residence life advisors host a variety of educational and social events to bring students together and give you an opportunity to learn, grow and most importantly, have fun!
