Holland College President & CEO, Dr. Alexander (Sandy) MacDonald, has announced his plans to retire on June 30, 2026. We are deeply grateful for his leadership and the many ways he has helped our college grow and succeed over the years.
As we prepare for this important transition, the Holland College Board of Governors has begun a comprehensive search process to select the next President & CEO.
For over 50 years, Holland College has been a leader in applied learning on Prince Edward Island, across Atlantic Canada, and beyond. Our strong community connections and partnerships with local industries, Indigenous communities, and educational institutions have built a reputation for hands-on, accessible education that creates real impact.
With modern campuses across PEI, innovative programs, and a dedicated team of faculty and staff, Holland College is preparing graduates to thrive in a changing world. We are proud to contribute to the social and economic strength of our Island and the Atlantic region.
Looking ahead, the next President & CEO will guide a committed team and continue to build on this strong foundation. This is a time of great opportunity - one where we can deepen community partnerships, foster academic innovation, and champion equity and access for all learners.
We are seeking a collaborative and inspiring leader - someone who reflects Holland College’s values of Innovation, Applied Learning, Inclusion, Engagement, Environmental Responsibility, and Inspiration. A leader who listens, inspires, and understands both the transformative power of education and the unique strengths of this region.
This is an exciting moment in our story. We invite you to learn more about this opportunity to help shape the future of Holland College and make a meaningful difference for our students, our communities, and beyond.
