Customized Training Coordinator

Continuing full-time position commencing ASAP

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the Holland College Customized Training Team, you will provide support to the Manager of Customized Training to assist in fostering the growth and development of customized training opportunities for the College. 

  • Provide administrative support to activities related to customized training.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with industry, industry associations, community organizations, Federal, Provincial and Municipal governments, and the public.
  • Actively seek out new training opportunities for the Customized Training Department by staying aware of new trends in workforce development.
  • Promote a variety of customized training courses and seminars which includes providing ongoing presentations for various groups on the benefits of Customized Training.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and finalize training contracts with external customers including establishing course, dates, locations, instructors, and budgets.
  • Provide coordination with offsite training and oversee the placement of instructional staff and students at these sites.
  • Input revenue and expenditures in budget tracking and monitor.
  • Register and exit students, input final grades, and receipt payments using the College’s student information system (Datatel).
  • Develop and execute a marketing plan for various training's and programs.
  • Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in Business or office administration with a minimum of two-years recent related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Superior communications skills verbally, electronically and in writing with the ability to adapt style to a variety of purposes and audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately with figures and detailed records.
  • A strong commitment to excellence in customer service.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Some knowledge of contract development and budget preparation is preferred.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
  • Some evening and/or weekend work may be required.

Salary:

$27.28 to $31.19/hr; 37.5 hrs/wk
