Applied research projects are effective ways to solve practical problems; create new products, processes and services; and conduct social research. The Office of Applied Research supports economic prosperity in Prince Edward Island by actively seeking collaborations for Holland College programs with industry and community groups.

Holland College faculty and students participate in applied research projects in the areas of applied sciences, engineering technology, information technology, food product development, industrial trades and technology, public safety, visual arts, health and social sciences, or even performing arts.

Canada's Smartest Kitchen	The food product research and development arm of The Culinary Institute of Canada, and an NSERC Technology Access Centre.
Applied Biotechnology Research Group	A dedicated industry space available for lease or to facilitate research projects.
Business Analytics Centre	An innovation hub specifically designed to deliver project-based experiential learning for project management and data analytics students while providing space, equipment, and expertise to businesses from across the region.
Wallace McCain Early Childhood Lab	This fully integrated early years center provides a true demonstration model for best practice in an exemplary setting.
Atlantic Police Academy	A one of a kind training center that combines skill-based competencies, sound curriculum and state-of-the-art infrastructure.
