The team was coached by Chef Jennifer Bryant and Chef Instructor Blair Zinck.

The exhibition was part of the Canadian Culinary Federation’s annual Atlantic Conference. The junior team wasn’t the only representative from the culinary institute to win medals. Senior Team P.E.I., which included graduates Bryant, Chef Krista MacQuarrie, Applied Degree in Culinary Operations student Darren Wyand, Chef Javier Alarco and Team Manager Chef Ross Munro, also took home a gold medal and second place overall in the exhibition. Chefs Bryant and MacQuarrie both work for Canada’s Smartest Kitchen, the research arm of The Culinary Institute of Canada.

“Once again, the CIC demonstrates the importance of competition within our programs and the continued commitment of our staff and students in the pursuit of excellence,” he said.
