Any additional resources required for each course will be discussed by the learning manager on the first day of classes.
Before attending any practicum portions of the program, a student must submit a criminal record check and a vulnerable sector check. If the check indicates that a record exists, the student may not be able to complete portions of their program that are required for graduation.
Any associated costs are the responsibility of the student.
The Human Services program offers extensive theoretical training as well as opportunities for Practicum placements in all three sectors: Educational, Residential, Vocational throughout the Maritimes.
Graduates of the Human Services program at Holland College are well recognized for their high level of competence and are in demand/employed across the country.
For graduates wishing to further their education, this program has degree pathways with universities near and abroad, enabling interested individuals to receive both a diploma and a degree in a condensed timeframe.
