Holland College has opened an IELTS Testing Center. The International English Language Testing System is an internationally recognized proficiency assessment with over 1,100 centers located worldwide. The test is designed to assess the English language proficiency of those who wish to study, work, or immigrate to an English-speaking environment. IELTS assesses four skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
The test results are recognized and accepted around the world for admission to post-secondary institutions and for those wishing to demonstrate English proficiency for immigration and employment. There are two main types of IELTS tests, Academic, which tests the English skills students need in a learning environment like a university or college; and General Training, which tests the everyday language skills used at work or while socializing. The IELTS General Training test is one of only two English language tests accepted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
The new centre is located on the Holland College Prince of Wales Campus in Charlottetown, in Montgomery Hall. For more information or to register, visit this page.
