The Holland College Welshmen Community Band will present its ninth annual Christmas concert on Tuesday, November 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall on Holland College’s Prince of Wales Campus at 140 Weymouth Street, Charlottetown.

The concert has become a perennial favourite, and for many people marks the beginning of the busy month leading up to Christmas. Students from the Holland College School of Performing Arts, a partnership with Confederation Centre of the Arts, will also be featured. There is no charge for admission, donations are gratefully accepted.

The Holland College Welshmen Community Concert Band is comprised of members from all walks of life – from university and college students to music graduates, community members, and many long-time musicians. The band practices from 7 – 8:20 p.m. every Tuesday evening at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall on Holland College’s Prince of Wales Campus at 140 Weymouth Street, Charlottetown. Prospective members are welcome to attend a rehearsal and meet the band. Following the concert band rehearsal, the Welshmen jazz band rehearses from 8:30 to 9 p.m.
