Holland College president Dr. Brian McMillan was named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs by Atlantic Business Magazine for the fourth consecutive year.
Nominations for Atlantic Business Magazine’s annual Top 50 CEOs are judged according to their corporate, community and industry involvement; their company’s growth in recent years; and their responses to various managerial challenges. All 50 award winners are profiled annually in the magazine’s May/June issue.
Holland College Board of Governors Chair Stan MacPherson congratulated Dr. McMillan on his award.
“On behalf of the Board of Governors and the entire college community, I am honoured to offer sincere congratulations to Dr. McMillan on having received this prestigious award for the fourth consecutive year. His dedication and leadership are inspiring, and have been integral to the college’s recent growth and success,” he said.
Dr. McMillan said that the award is a testimony to the continued commitment of everyone associated with the Holland College community, especially in these economically challenging times.
“This award is a validation of the hard work and dedication of Holland College staff and students, as well as our partners in industry and in government. Now, more than ever, Holland College is an integral part of all regions of the Island,” he said. “Our continued success is directly attributable to the way we all work together to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students and Island communities.”
