Construction Technology receives Gold Seal accreditation

Several courses in Holland College's two-year Construction Technology program have received Gold Seal certification from the Canadian Construction Association, giving students a good start on the path to obtaining their Gold Seal, a designation which signifies that they have attained a nationally recognized level of experience and competence as a project manager, superintendent, estimator or owners' project managers.

Construction Technology learning manager Terry McKenna sees the Gold Seal certification of the Technical Communications, Estimating I and II, Construction Administration, Construction Law and Contract Documents, Project Management, Codes and Standards, and Construction Site Management courses as an endorsement of the program from professionals in the field.

"The Construction Technology program is already accredited by the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board of the Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists. These Gold Seal certifications show that our curriculum is relevant to the industry, and prepares students to pursue further career opportunities in the field" he said.
