Jake Baird, Director of Holland College's PEI Institute of Adult and Community Education recently announced the appointment of Barbara Wigmore MacLeod to the position of Manager of the PEI Assessment Service for Adults (ASA).
"We are most pleased to have Barbara joining us at the Institute," said Baird. "In addition to completing graduate level training in psychological assessment and interpretation, much of her professional experience has centred around the process of assessment. This will be a valuable asset to both the College and the clients we assist."
The Assessment Service for Adults is a confidential, client-focused resource that offers service to individuals and groups interested in various types of assessments including career, learning, personal and social. The ASA provides a province-wide assessment service as well as follow-up counselling if required. Private and confidential individualized reports that include recommendations and referrals based on the assessment are provided. Adults from all stages and walks of life and corporations in periods of transition or development can benefit from using the services offered by ASA.
Ms. Wigmore MacLeod's most recent employment was with Queen?s Region Health as a Psychologist. She is also a member of the Prince Edward Island Psychologists Registration Board. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree (Honours in Psychology) in 1992 and a Master of Arts degree (Developmental Psychology) at the University of New Brunswick in 1994. She continued her studies and in June 2002, received a Ph.D. degree in Applied Psychology (School and Community Psychology) from the University of Calgary.
Ms. Wigmore MacLeod began her new position October 21, 2002.
