Gowan Brae is seeking a passionate and creative Sous Chef or Line Cook to act as the second-in-command in our kitchen. The ideal candidate will support the Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, supervising the culinary team and maintaining high-quality food standards. This role is a hands-on position, with a great opportunity for career advancement at Gowan Brae. Key Responsibilities • Leadership & Team Management: Lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Chef, ensuring a positive, collaborative, and efficient work environment. • Operational Excellence: Manage daily kitchen production, prep lists, and plating, ensuring consistent, high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. • Food Safety & Sanitation: Enforce strict health department regulations, food safety protocols, and cleanliness standards, maintaining a spotless kitchen. |
