Job Description

Overview

A shop associate participates in many of the day-to-day operations of Brackley Bay Oyster Company. They work alongside their teammates as well as a management team to carry out tasks that encompass a Seafood Counter, Ice Cream Counter, and Shucking Station. This position is also responsible for doing their part in maintaining a clean and tidy store front, following health and safety standards, and ensuring high quality customer service.

 

Reports To

The Director of Retail Operations. Both on-site Supervisors and Owners are reported to in the Director’s absence.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service
• Prepare menu items from all store departments
• Shuck and present oysters
• Replenish inventory and supplies as required
• Operate POS system
• Assist in opening, closing, and daily procedures
• Maintain an organized, tidy, and clean workspace
• Participate in facilities and property management
• Other related duties as required by management

Qualifications

Key Qualifications

• Team oriented
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• An intuitive sense of urgency and efficiency
• Oyster shucking experience
• Attention to detail

Requirements

• Ability to stand for duration of shift
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• 2+ years of customer service and/or tourism experience
