Job Description
About the role: Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator supports digital and social media marketing and web presence and content creation for IPEI's programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development, implementation, and creation of the IPEI marketing and communications strategies and brand;
- Contribute to the messaging and other marketing and communications plans, enhancing the online presence and overall brand awareness of Innovation PEI;
- Work closely with the Manager of Marketing on the strategic development and implementation of IPEI's social media strategy, as well as managing IPEI's social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn);
- Design, develop, coordinate, and deliver creative content (text, images, graphics) for IPEI marketing requests;
- Maintain functionality and maintenance of both the Innovation PEI website (innovationpei.com), and Innovation PEI-related content on the provincial website (peigov.ca);
- Ensure website information is current and up to date and manage the web updating process by guiding and assisting content contributions from departmental directors and staff;
- Provide assistance in the areas of graphic design, power point presentations, web and technical support to IPEI management and staff; and
- Other related duties.
Qualifications
Who you are: All candidates who meet the following key qualifications will move forward in the recruiting process:
- Successful completion of a university degree in communications, marketing or related;
- Demonstrated equivalencies will be considered;
- Considerable expertise and experience with social media and digital marketing;
- Knowledge and experience developing web content and managing websites;
- High level of attention to detail;
- Excellent writing skills (grammar, composition, readability); and
- Excellent collaborative and interpersonal communication skills.
