Specific duties depend on the partnered organization placement- more information about each can be found on our website.

IYIP is part of the Government of Canada's Youth Employment and Skills Strategy and aims to prepare youth in Canada for future employment or further studies. The focus of the current 2023-2028 IYIP program is to provide meaningful and transformative opportunities to youth facing barriers to employment, such as youth with disabilities, Indigenous youth, racialized youth, and 2SLGBTQI+ youth. Successful applicants have all program costs covered including flights, vaccinations, and more, with living stipends to cover all necessities including accommodations and groceries; the only exception is the passport costs, which must be covered by the participant if a new passport or renewal is required. Administrative support is offered at every step of the way including handling flights, finding accommodations, preparation, support while in-country, and more.

Two virtual information sessions including all basic information from the Program Managers, alumni present to share their experiences, and a Q&A period (with both the PMs and the alumni) approach, at 7pm ADT Feb 11th and 8pm ADT Feb 17th.
