Job Description

• Generating production drawings using CAD software (Solidworks) Updating existing drawings to incorporate changes
• Preparing product spec sheets for the sales department
• Preparing schematics for electrical, air and hydraulic systems on highway trailers
• Completing documentation packages and producing drawing sets
• Checking and verifying drawings conform to specifications and design data
• Preparing manufacturing specifications
• Working with production floor to ensure accuracy and usability of drawings
• Maintaining drawings using established method for drawing numbering and revision tracking

• Dynamic, forward thinking, resourceful and practical
• Ability to prioritize and plan effectively
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks while demonstrating excellent attention to details, meeting deadlines and producing high-level results
• Ability to think and conceptualize in three dimensions
• Ability to work as part of a team or individually
• Clear and precise communication skills
• Completion of a two-year college program in drafting or a related field or
• Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program or
• Four to five years of related experience plus completion of college or industry courses in drafting or a related field
