Job Description

The City of Summerside is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to work as Daytime Lifeguards within the Aquatics Department of our Community Services Division. This position is required for morning and afternoon shifts. Duties will include:

• Supervising pool users
• Maintaining cleanliness of pool area
• Working both as a leader and as a team member
• Performing Continuous Safety scans of aquatics facilities
• Performing daily tasks associated with the role

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

• Valid National Lifeguard Certification
• Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Certification
• Swim Instructor Certification would be an asset
• Must be in good physical condition
• Have good communication skills and be courteous to the public
