The City of Summerside is seeking a highly motivated team player, to help support the implementation of the City's Arts, Heritage, and Culture Programs as the Culture Summerside Assistant. Reporting to the Director of Culture Summerside, the ideal candidate will have post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in administration and have a good working knowledge of Summerside's cultural assets.
The preferred candidate will be self-motivated and organized, possess strong administrative, computer and communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively and multi-task among several projects. The successful candidate must be comfortable in the learning and delivery of public programs, enjoy working with the community, have a valid driver's license, and be able to work flexible hours. This is a part time position of 20 hours per week. French and knowledge of other languages would be considered an asset. Most importantly, you must have a passion for excellence, as well as a strong interest in the City's arts, heritage, and cultural programs.
