Job Description

HOCKEY PEI - COORDINATOR, MEMBERSHIP SERVICES

Hockey PEI is the governing body for amateur hockey in Prince Edward Island. Working with its member associations, clubs and leagues, the organization oversees the administration and delivery of hockey programming from entry level to the national competition. The Coordinator Membership Services is responsible for providing day to day operational support to the Executive Director. To act as liaison between the Executive Director and the membership to ensure all affairs are conducted in a professional and organized manner. This position is responsible for providing a wide range of administrative functions to support the needs of the organization and its members.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Administrative:

  • Assist visitors to the Hockey PEI office, respond to telephone and email inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Draft and prepare correspondence, some of a confidential nature.
  • Assist the Executive Director and Technical Director with administrative and program initiatives.
  • Attend Hockey PEI Board meetings, prepare minutes, ensure meeting correspondence and materials are communicated appropriately.
  • Assist in the coordination of Hockey PEI events and travel.
  • Organize and maintain up to date files and contacts of the Association, Board, and Councils.
  • Hockey Canada Registry (HCR):
    • Maintain member registrations on the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) *TRAINING and support is provided.
  • Point of contact for minor hockey association registrars. § Prepare HCR reports as required of the Executive Director, Board or Councils.


Financial:

  • Assist the Executive Director with the Bookkeeping functions of the organization.
  • Receive and track program payments, A/R, A/P, G/L accounts.
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Monthly financial and budget statement updates.
  • Familiar with SAGE accounting. Support provided.

Qualifications

The Successful Candidate shall possess the following:

  • Post Secondary education from a recognized institute; computer/data entry skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; detail oriented with superior organizational skills; ability to work independently and in a team environment.
