Job Description

La Villa Sormany Inc is a non-profit, long-term care facility, that houses and services individuals of a vulnerable nature. We are currently looking to fill the position of cook in our food service department. This individual will be responsible to prepare and serve, as well as prep meals for our 61 residents in three texture varieties. The ability to execute properly the preparation, service, and presentation are huge factors to maintaining the position. To follow and reinforce proper kitchen flow and health/safety regulations are also key responsibilities.

Qualifications

Qualifications required for the position are as follows:

• Bilingual (comprehension and communication is required in French and encouraged in English)
• High school diploma, as well as an additional cook training course/program of over one and up to two years. The equivalent is also acceptable which includes a one year cook training program. All three blocks completed (upon hire a contract can be written for their scheduled completion if not completed)
• Available between the hours of 6:30am - 7:30pm during the weekdays, as well as, the weekends
