Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Student Engagement & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting student engagement through content creation, social media management, and marketing initiatives. This role focuses on connecting students with SAHC services, events, and opportunities while helping gather student feedback and increase participation.

Job Duties

Content & Social Media

  • Manage SAHC social media platforms and day-to-day content
  • Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar 
  • Create digital content (posts, stories, short-form video, etc.)
  • Monitor engagement, respond to messages, and track performance

Student Engagement

  • Support student outreach and engagement initiatives 
  • Assist with surveys and feedback collection
  • Identify opportunities to increase student participation and awareness

Marketing & Campaigns

  • Support the development and delivery of marketing campaigns
  • Create promotional materials (digital and print)
  • Collaborate with staff and student leaders to promote initiatives

Website & Communications

  • Maintain and update website content
  • Assist with newsletters and email communications
  • Ensure messaging is clear and consistent across platforms
  • Support external communications, including media inquiries and basic coordination as needed

General Duties

  • Attend events to support engagement and content creation
  • Maintain knowledge of SAHC services and initiatives
  • Support the Executive Director, Board of Directors, Student Advisory Council, and staff as needed
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and training opportunities as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education (college diploma or university degree) 
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with social media platforms, analytics, and design tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion

  • Work Schedule and Information
  • 40 hours/week (flexible schedule based on operational needs)
  • Combination of in-office and occasional remote work
  • Some evening and weekend work required
  • Physical requirements include standing, sitting, and light lifting up to 10 lbs
