Job Description

The Biomed Electronic Technician is responsible for pre-installation product configuration, assembly of patient monitors, manufacturing of products and occasionally repairing defective or damaged products as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAIN DUTIES

  • Assume responsibility for the timely and accurate configuration of capital equipment, manufacturing of NKA equipment and repair of defective or damaged products for some Nihon Kohden product lines.
  • Stay technically current with all Nihon Kohden PM products lines.
  • Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relations, communication, and coordination with Company personnel and management.
  • Assist technical support personnel as needed.
  • Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
  • Attend and participates in meetings as required.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 1+ years of experience with medical device product design, configuration, or assembly.
  • Experience in biomedical electronic or other technical discipline contributing to the maintenance and repair of clinical equipment/devices preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic principals preferred.
  • Computer configuration experience preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS SCHEDULE:

The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company's discretion.

PHYSICAL: Generally, will require reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-way written/verbal communication in English. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.

TRAVEL: Minimal

ACCESS to CUSTOMER SITES: Usually not required but the occasion may arise that this position requires visiting a customer site to assist with in-field configuration. It may be necessary to obtain vendor credentialing. As part of this process, it is typically required to provide proof of vaccinations (including for COVID-19), and related personal medical information, and to comply with other criteria as needed to be able to work
