Important information regarding parking near the Prince of Wales Campus for the graduation ceremonies taking place on June 20.
The City of Charlottetown is currently working on Grafton Street between the intersections of Grafton Street and Riverside Drive, and Grafton Street and Cumberland Street. Grafton Street is only open to traffic travelling east to west (heading into town). This has significant impact on the availability and accessibility of parking.
We have been working with the City to minimize the inconvenience of the roadworks to our graduation guests. Please review the following information.
Three parking lots on Grafton Street will be available: the parking lot across from Glendenning Hall, the parking lot across from Joe Ghiz Park, and the parking lot next to Joe Ghiz Park will be available for graduation guests. Please refer to the map below.
There will be a designated drop-off zone at the intersection of Cumberland and Kent Streets with staff on hand to assist passengers out of their vehicles. If you or one of your passengers require additional assistance, please let us know in advance by emailing graduation@hollandcollege.com.
The City is allowing one way access on Edward Street, from Kent to Grafton Street during the graduation ceremonies. Drivers will be able to drop off their passengers at the designated location on Kent Street, then continue down Kent Street to Edward Street, turn right onto Edward Street, and then turn back onto Grafton Street to access the parking lot across from Glendenning Hall.
Please allow yourself enough time to drop-off your passengers, park in a designated parking lot, and walk to the McMillan Centre for Community Engagement.
