All four court-sport teams for the Holland Hurricanes are suiting up this weekend in Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) regular season action. The women’s volleyball Hurricanes are the only team playing at home when they host the Crandall University Chargers at 2pm on Sunday at the McMillan Centre.
Men’s Volleyball
The weekend action kicks off with the men’s volleyball Hurricanes visiting the University of New Brunswick Saint John (UNBSJ) Seawolves on Saturday at 3pm.
The ‘Canes enter the weekend at 1-3 and in third in the ACAA. Their first four matches of the season have included an opening weekend split at home with the St. Thomas University (STU) Tommies before dropping their next two on the road to the Université de Sainte-Anne (USTA) Dragons in three and five sets respectively.
The Seawolves have struggled out of the gates this regular season, winless in their first three matches with losses to USTA (twice) and the Tommies.
Action this weekend can be streamed live at www.acaa.tv.
These two teams will meet again in Charlottetown on November 26 (7pm) and 27 (2pm) at the McMillan Centre to close out the 2022 portion of the schedule for the men’s volleyball ‘Canes.

They’ve also fallen to Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU), UKC and Dal AC this season with their lone victory over the Dragons on the road in five-sets.
