Description
The Board Member Training program is designed for board of director members for not-for-profit organizations. This program will bring awareness on key topics revolving around a board of directors and board operational procedures. This course is a blended delivery of online self-study and in-person sessions.  Participants will attend a 1.5-day retreat both at the start and the end of the program. In between the retreats they will have access to a series of modules delivery through Holland College’s online learning management system. They will explore curriculum, interact with guest speakers, and gain important knowledge needed to participant on a board of directors.

  3. Fiduciary Responsibility
  4. Financial Literacy
  5. Community Engagement
  6. Human Resource Fundamentals
  7. Communications
  8. Conflict Resolution
  9. Succession Planning
