Project Coordinator - Customized Training

One year term position commencing January 26th with the possibility of an extension

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the Holland College's PEI Workforce Innovation Partnership (PEWIP) - Customized Training Team, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of Holland College's role in the multi-institutional  Atlantic Colleges Atlantique (ACA) project "Fostering the Competencies for a Green Buildings and Retrofit Industry in Atlantic Canada.  Duties will include:

  • Lead and Facilitate the work of the project working group by preparing materials, coordinating follow up, and contributing information to discussions on program goals, delivery models, equity targets, and execution plans.
  • Coordinate and execute institutional deliverables by organizing meetings, tracking timelines, documenting and supporting departments in meeting objectives.  
  • Collaborate with project coordinators at other participating institutions to align timelines, share information, and support collective project objectives.
  • Coordinate industry advisory groups, leveraging existing program advisory committees where appropriate to ensure training development and delivery align with sector priorities and workforce needs.
  • Plan the overall training schedule, instructor recruitment, and resource requirements to ensure smooth training delivery.
  • Track project budgets and expenditures.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to implement multi-channel participant recruitment strategies.
  • Prepare reports and develop periodic project status reports, presentations and related project documentation, including updates on the project management plan.
  • Manage participant registration, onboarding, tracking and post-training processes in coordination with the College's student information system.
  • Collect and summarize feedback from participants and instructors to inform training improvements and meet project reporting requirements.
  • Serve as the primary student contact, providing administrative support throughout training.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in business, project management, adult education or a related discipline with a minimum of two-years recent related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Education or training in areas connected to the Green Buildings and Retrofits sector (e.g. construction, engineering technology, environmental studies or sustainability will be considered and asset.
  • Superior communications skills verbally, electronically and in writing with the ability to facilitate discussions and engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately with figures and detailed records.
  • A strong commitment to excellence in customer service.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) education or designation is considered an asset.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.

Salary:

$28.41 to $35.53/hr; 37.5 hrs/wk
