DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Want to make a difference in the lives of children… Join our team!  The Early Learning Centre is seeking applications to Create a List of substitute Early Childhood Educators (ECE) to fill in as required.  We strive to offer a high-quality childcare and education program for children up to five years old. In family groupings and with the support of qualified ECE’s, children learn through exploration and reflection with their environment.

As part of our team your responsibilities include:

  • Offering a play-based, emergent curriculum.
  • Create, adapt, and maintain an environment that protects the health and safety of children and adults.
  • Foster social interactions and child development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education, Certification as an Early Childhood Educator or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (written & oral) and relationship building skills.

Employment requirements

  • Certification in First Aid/CPR are required.
  • If you are a successful candidate, you will be required to provide a criminal background check.
  • Proof of credentials or equivalencies from accredited regional or federal post-secondary institutions and/or their foreign equivalents will be required at the time of job offer.

Salary:

$18.80 - $30.81 per hour
