Assessment Services Clerk

Continuing Part-Time Position (18.75 hrs/wk). Commencing April 14, 2025.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Program Manager of Adult and Community Education, the successful candidate will:

• Process payments and manage invoicing with accuracy and efficiency.
• Communicate with students, staff, clients, and the public.
• Provide basic information about the department services and direct inquiries to appropriate individuals.
• Assist with the development of proposals in relation to assessment services.
• Manage and execute internal and external contract operations for assessment services.
• Arrange for testing dates and locations for both internal and external clients, for both on and off Island clients.
• Score aptitude tests and complete feedback forms.
• Ensure quality forms and testing consent forms are completed and maintained on all clients.
• Administer testing documents for Admissions, the Atlantic Police Academy, and other external agencies.
• Scan and score testing documents and forward results to appropriate clients.
• Provide proctoring for external educational agencies or institutions.
• Ensure adequate inventories of testing materials are available.
• Compose/prepare routine correspondence, arrange travel accommodations, and maintain client filing system.
• Maintain records of revenues and expenditures, determine billing amounts, and submit invoices.
• Maintain accurate and detailed ISO records/documentation.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary diploma in business or office administration with recent related work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Strong keyboarding and proficiency using Microsoft Office and a variety of software technology.
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication (verbal/written), customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Experience with basic principles of accounting and demonstrated ability to work accurately with figures and detailed reports.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise a considerable amount of initiative and judgment in performing duties.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience working with different assessment instruments will be considered an asset.

Salary:

$24.45 - $26.33 per hour
