The Charlottetown Airport (YYG) is conveniently located in central Prince Edward Island and offers a variety of direct and connecting commercial flights. If you drive to PEI, you can take the Confederation Bridge, which is the longest bridge over ice covered waters in the world and takes about 10 minutes to cross. It links New Brunswick to Bordon-Carleton, Prince Edward Island, which is about 25 km from the Marine Training Centre.
You can also take a ferry to Prince Edward Island. Northumberland Ferries run from May to late December from Wood Islands to Caribou, Nova Scotia. The crossing takes about 75 minutes. Wood Islands is approximately 110 km away from the Marine Training Centre. For information about the ferries, including the schedule, visit the Northumberland Ferries website.
There are no tolls coming to the Island by bridge and ferry, all tolls charged when you leave the Island.
Maritime Bus offers daily bus service between Charlottetown, Summerside and Borden-Carleton and over 40 locations across the Maritimes. Find out more on the Maritime Bus website.
