Open Academic Studies (OAS) gives you the flexibility to take courses on either a full-time or part-time basis without committing to a full-time program.

You may choose from these Open Academic Studies courses:

  • COMP1000 Computer Essentials
  • COMM1002 Writing for College
  • COMM1003 Leadership & Group Dynamics
  • PSYC1001 Psychology I: Core Concepts
  • PSYC1002 Psychology II
  • HLTH 1000 Personal Wellness
  • CREX Career Exploration

You may also choose courses that are part of our full-time programs if you meet the entrance requirements and there are places.

If you are interested in enrolling in Open Academic Studies, please contact us before you register so that we can help you determine your goals. We will help you find the courses that best meet your interests and will enable to you to transfer into a full-time Holland College program if you would like to.

Our Adult Education classrooms are supportive and friendly places where you can complete or upgrade high school credits or prepare to write your GED exam. Adult Education is available free for PEI residents.

English for Academic Purposes

If you are applying for the EAP Program you do not need to send your high school transcript or résumé, however, if you would like to be considered for acceptance into a Holland College post-secondary program, you will need these documents at a later date.
