Description
An exploration of factors and their effects on a child's development in the preschool years: ages 2 to 5. Knowledge of milestones in all developmental areas are connected to theorists who have contributed to our understanding of these areas. Students practice observing, documenting, and communicating behaviour and development.

These credits can be applied to the Early Childhood Care and Education diploma. As well, these credits meet one third of the requirements for Early Childhood Intern recognition with the PEI Child Care Facilities Board.

Notes:
This course will be delivered online with no face-to-face classes. Synchronous classes will be held on Mondays and asynchronous learning is scheduled on Wednesdays, unless otherwise stated by the Learning Manager. There will be additional asynchronous hours required in addition to the Monday and Wednesday schedule.
