If you're awesome, we want you! The Modest Butcher Kitchen + Market is an approachable yet refined restaurant in West Kelowna that showcases rustic, wine-country food in an unpretentious setting. We are looking to build a team with solid technical skill, a professional mind set, and a cohesive culture built on unique personalities and camaraderie. Compensation will be based on responsibilities given to you and prior experience/ skill. This is an opportunity to join a kitchen team that's still building a brand and reputation! We have had a great response so far and are looking to push the bar even higher. That's where you come in. We are fortunate to be associated with and located at Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery on the Westside Wine Trail. Much of our day to day is tied to the wine making process from grapes grown onsite, production in the cellar, right through to tastings in the wine shop. Valuable knowledge can be gained while creating food alongside an award-winning wine portfolio. You’ll have the chance to tour the production cellar, take part in wine-pairing events, and sample the goods in structured tasting sessions. Experience in fine dining or high-end casual service, from-scratch prep work, Instagram-able plating, butchery/ charcuterie making, and classical French cuisine would be an asset. Qualifications

Enrollment in a Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts program. Training available for those with a determined, positive attitude.
