Job Description

Construction Project Coordinator

Reporting to the Project Director Team Lead , the Project Coordinator assists various project managers on monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, stakeholder meetings and achieving deadlines. Highly organized and able to meet tight timelines, the Project Coordinator is vital in keeping projects on time and on budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports the Project Director Team Lead in the design and implementation of processes and procedures to enhance the departments workflow.
• Maintains and monitors project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures. Be involved in the full lifecycle of the project from design and planning construction through to project close out.
• Organizes, attends, and participates in stakeholder meetings. Documents minutes as required.
• Organizes and accumulates information to assist in the preparation of Monthly Project Status Report for clients.
• Maintains up-to-date shop drawings, track the status of RFI’s, obtain quotations for notice of change, and update and assemble as-built documents.
• Conducts quality control activities, inspection programs, and periodic update of construction process and safety records.
• Works closely with owners, architects, trade contractors, and engineers to identify, develop and support cost-effective project delivery.
• Maintains accurate up to date shop drawings, maintain drawing logs, and update and assemble as-built documents.
• Assesses and communicates project risks and provide solutions where applicable.
• Prepares necessary presentation material and organize stakeholder meetings.
• Provides administrative support as required.
• Ensures projects adhere to Sealand standards and frameworks, and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
• As required visit job site to review progress, meet stakeholders, or collect information.

 

Qualifications

HARD SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Construction Engineering degree or diploma from accredited college or university.
  • 2 years supervised work experience.
  • Understands construction and project management processes and project delivery sequences.
  • Good knowledge of construction-based project management software i.e., Procore, Microsoft Project.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED
