Description
This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively and accurately operate speed detection and enforcement devices. Training focuses on the Decatur Genesis 2, Stalker 2, and Kustom Golden Eagle 3 radar systems, as well as the Kustom Pro Laser 4 handheld LIDAR device. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of both the theoretical and practical applications of these tools, including the legal principles necessary for court preparation and testimony. Additionally, successful completion of the course will earn participants two separate certifications: one for RADAR and one for LIDAR.

The APA recommends agencies attend with an unmarked service vehicle outfitted with a speed measuring device. If an agency requires that the APA facilitate a vehicle, they are to contact the in-service directory to generate a separate quote. This course will also provide those members attending with x2 separate certificates RADAR and LIDAR
