Program Overview


The Occupational Health and Safety Technology - Distance Learning program will provide you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to promote and maintain the health and safety of employees in an organization. Through distance learning, you will learn the roles and responsibilities of an occupational health and safety practitioner, including risk management, hazard recognition control and prevention, and safety management systems in the workplace. You will also learn about occupational health and safety legislation and organizations, and how to apply best practices.

Please note: This program is fully on-line (distance), with scheduled on-line class and office hours. Students are required to complete a six-week on the job training component as part of this program.
